Some things shouldn't be an issue....

I realize that many people have deeply-held beliefs regarding choice. Some believe that a womans right to choose ends at birth. Others believe that it ends at conception. But should it even be an issue once the child is born? As in "whoops that baby was supposed to be dead already...now what do we do?" Doesn't everyone believe that no matter HOW that child got there, they have rights in America?

Some things just should be obvious. And I think they are to most people. When we discuss infanticide it should be about real people. Not political ideals. It's not above my pay grade. And that's my $.02.

...found this!

I found these photos, that I copied to post ohh...
WEEKS ago!
I don't know what happened.

This was the first year our Fresh Air Child was able to go to the County Fair with us...and it was great to go to this event, which I have attended since I was a little babe,- fresh- and see it through new eyes. It was neat! My children joined in on the excitement. Things that my children have begun to say "do we have to?" they were willing to do, because they saw the fun it was for her!

It is a nice time to re-connect with people we don't see often, and usually is a time to see OUR entries. But, alas, we didn't enter anything this year.

It did kind of creep up on us ~again~ although I mark my calendar every July to "remember" to prepare. But when Monday came, no one wanted to make the effort, and I didn't have the desire to push.

But when we entered the building this year, the youngest said "we should have done this this year". Remember that, buddy, next summer!

Family Lore

There is so much swirling around in my mind right now, so much to say, and yet I find I don't have the opportunity to sit down and type it out coherently. So I will continue to ruminate about it, and post these photos. An "old friend" took these for us a few weeks ago while she was in town. ( I say "old" because when JSL was 4 he was their ring bearer. Now he's 14 and taller than all of us. We all feel O.L.D. )

BUT I WILL SAY THIS: SARAH PALIN ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!

I will think of you when I put on lipstick.....
